There it is, a direct link to type in any amount you want to donate to the cause. We need all the help we can get from everyone. You don’t have to be from the Southbay Area to help out. This is a really bad situation and if your from the Southbay and not concerned, YOU SHOULD BE.

They have taken all the Sports Programs away from the East Side Union High School District and this affects more than our district; it affects the teams outside the district that play against us as well. They have shorter schedules and have to scramble to figure out what they are going to do as well.

All this leads to one thing; KIDS with more time on their hands to do nothing but get in trouble. Let’s go yall, please step up to the plate and help us out!

What the heck is 408INC & what do we do? There seems to be a re-occuring theme here these days with some confusion as to what those things are. For clarification, when I say “We”; I mean the company. Some of you out there have the notion that 408INC is a record label; we are NOT. Some have the notion that we are a “click”; we are NOT. Some even seem to think we pick who we promote or do business with, again; we do NOT.

408INC is a “Media” company that offers many things. We offer web/graffic design, online distribution of music and merchandise through our shop, video work (both web and dvd) and more. The website offers all of the following to “all” artists from the Southbay; to report the News (Upcoming Releases and More), report upcoming Events (Shows, Fundraisers), Reviews on new releases, Interviews on both New and Pioneer Artists, plus so much more.

Where it seems to get confusing to some people is the fact that the 408INC Logo is popping up on CD’s, Flyers and at Shows. Some folks see that as 408INC is either co-signing these artists/shows or has somehow picked these folks randomly to support and left others out. That simply is not the case. 408INC is and was built for the Southbay as a whole, for the sake of having pride in the area and what makes us great. Those who have taken the logo and placed it on their CDs, Flyer’s and whatnot….see what the company is doing for the area and just want to show their support back by using it. What better way than to flash the area code? I have been to numerous stores and have seen CDs with our logo on the back of them. Some rap some non rap, but it’s beautiful to see folks getting behind this and knowing we are here to support them and get the word out on whatever they got going on. This does not bug me, however I don’t want to see it printed up on shirts…you will then have a lawsuit. On flyer’s is fine, Cd’s cool….because 9 times out of 10 we sell that same CD on the shop. www.408incshop.com

Alot of you already grasp this concept, but for those who don’t; I will state again. 408INC cannot support you if you don’t let us know what’s going on with you. I hear it all the time. 408INC don’t have anything on us, why aren’t our releases coming soon on there, how come our shows aren’t on the calendar etc. All in the same breath…these same folks will admit they haven’t even checked the site in weeks and fail to realize their shows are there on the calendar. Also, the only reason no up coming releases or news is up is because YOU DO NOT SEND ANYTHING! Yes, I meant to put that in CAPS! You cannot expect us to just guess what your doing or to ask around. If your doing something, you must email it to us so we know and can put that up for you. We tipped 800k hits per month as of last month, why would you promote on my space, face book, twitter, siccness etc. but forget to promote on your own HOME TEAM’s website? It makes no sense.

Most of you reading this know I am an artist myself, so I know what it takes to try and get just a little break. It’s hard, but when you don’t take the one’s that are in your face and use them; your the only one to blame. When I go out and do shows myself…I am Playa Rae of Monstaville Music. 408INC is my Media company, but I promote it everywhere I go to keep everyone aware that it is there for you. That takes alot of work and more importantly it takes me being impartial. What does that mean? It simply means, I keep everything I do as nuetral as possible. It matters here nor there if I like another artists music with 408INC. If you have product and your from the area, we have a home. I am a firm believer that there is a place for every style of music and even the most novice of artists have their own fans/friends who support. This company was started on the fact that my whole career since the beginning there was no “central” spot for folks from the area to call home and get the support they needed. We always had to reach out to other bay area cities and sites to see if they would help and that was more unsuccessful than successful. Now we can change that.

When something gets posted on this site, it’s an open invite to questions, ridicule and whatever. If there are events you have questions about or want to help with, please email or call. Our direct # is everywhere, it just takes a call or email as well. Nobody and I do mean Nobody will get a personal invite to anything here. There are over 1 million people here and if you think your special and in order to participate in anything we do, someone here needs to call you or email you first…you’re sadly mistaken. We do more than enough by keeping everyone informed on all the events, community fundraisers, news, releases etc. If you want to join us on something drop your pride and call or email. I’ve personally heard “we didn’t know, we asked around and nobody told us…” once again, these same people admit they didn’t check the site out once. So, your probably saying “that’s understandable though…maybe they didn’t check the site…how else would they know?” Simple. We do an excellent job of blasting things all over the web, so if your even slightly in tune with us you will catch wind of it. Whether it’s via twitter, my space, 408inc, text messaging, email blasts and more. The way I look at someone saying, “well they never told me anything…” is that they never took initiative to check the site and get details.

People, we cannot operate like that. Some people wake up and read the Mercury Newspaper out here, some watch Channel 11 News and some plain and simply wake up and check 408INC Online to see what’s going on too. I’ve been asked well, how do we get invovled? I post up FREE Mixtape projects all the time which are spots for folks to get on and get exposure. If you have shows or news, email it to us…we cannot “guess” your having an event. Also if you have product, send us a few units so we can help sell it for you. I’ve liteally taken peoples free DL mixtapes off their sit e and just put them up because they never take the initiative to send it over. People seem to be surprised; well I am just as surprised at the fact that you are from the area with a FREE Mixtape and haven’t thought of sending it to the biggest South Bay site online. Another way to help is to take our banner or logo and throw it on your sites. Show up at a fundraiser on your own. All these things and so much more. I can type for hours but to be honest, I am so tired and ready to crash hard. I’ve spent the day dealing with alot of these questions and painting a bedroom for my soon to be baby boy in June. I say this with all sincerity, 408INC really and truely is for you SOUTH BAY….use it but please do not ask why your not on here or involved if you never send in anything or show interest.
